About Pasta Point
This wave is one of my absolute favorites in the whole of the Maldives. A perfect left that sets up like it’s been shaped by hand. Takeoff puts you straight into a wall that hugs the reef with speed and precision. You can stall for a barrel or lay into a drawn-out carve depending on the section. Southeast swell and west to northwest wind light it up. Mid tide is magic. It doesn’t break far from shore so you feel everything. I’ve surfed it glassy with just a pulse in the air and it’s like the reef knows you’re there.
What makes Pasta different is the silence. No boat traffic no random drop-ins no noise. You wake up walk down the path and paddle out from the same spot you had breakfast. Only guests staying at the resort are allowed to surf and the number is kept low. It’s private but never pretentious. Just you the reef and a wave that gives more than it takes.
